Born from the gaze of Alma Claudia Cosenza during her first collaboration with Vulcanica in the Canary Islands, TIERRAS soon evolved into a personal exploration of how nature changes — and, in doing so, reshapes us as well.
In this archipelago of ancient lands, nature is not a backdrop but a presence. The islands become living organisms, imposing their own rhythm: slow, primordial, essential. Matter seems to move and breathe. Here, the human being can only contemplate and listen. Pause.
TIERRAS is a visual narrative of this encounter: a dialogue where the strength of the land meets the vulnerability of the gaze. Each image emerges from a delicate balance between the artist and the reality unfolding before her. They are attempts to express the freedom and ancestral power of places where humans can only adapt to the Earth’s pace.
A journey through matter and silence, wind and light — where photography becomes the language through which the Earth tells its own story.
